Forty one “juried in” artists have been selected to compete. While out exploring Canandaigua and the surrounding countryside, don’t be surprised to see many artists setting up their easels, ready to create.
Plein Air Canandaigua
The Finger Lakes Plein Air Festival takes place from June 4 – June 9, 2019. During this year’s festival, both nationally-known and locally-recognized artists will paint the beauty of Canandaigua and the surrounding areas, rain or shine. Then offer their paintings to the public for purchase. The festival culminates in a ticketed preview party ($35) on Saturday night, June 8, from 6–9 p.m., held at the newly-renovated permanent tent at Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion, and in a free, day-long Sunday exhibition and sale at Sonnenberg Garden’s Carriage House on June 9.
